FAQs

  • Who is the artist behind The Planter’s Tailor?

My name is Nazaaha Raji, and I’ve lived with psoriasis for over 20 years. Despite my condition, I create in public, show up boldly, and pour my spirit into every piece I make. These planters aren’t just pottery—they are affirmations of beauty, resilience, and radical self-expression. I invite you into that energy with every piece you bring into your space.

  • How do I know if you're the right artist for me?

Take your time exploring my artwork, especially the Collector Favorites and Commissioned Pieces. Each planter reflects my confidence, boldness, and pride in my culture and creativity. If that resonates with you, we’ll likely make magic together.

  • Are your planters really suitable for outdoor use?

Yes! Unless noted otherwise, every flower pot and planter is created to be both beautiful and functional—whether you place them indoors or outdoors. The materials I use, including terracotta, resin, and sealed finishes, are selected to endure and age gracefully. Just like fine art, your planter(s) increase in value and can enhance years of many plant lives. When your plant outgrows the artwork -re-home your plant and clean your planter with mild detergent and water.

  • How do I start a custom order?

Begin by reviewing my past work under the Collector Favorites section. Once you’ve confirmed that my style aligns with your vision, choose your desired medium and purchase your commission. After payment, you'll book your design consultation, where we’ll collaborate to plan your custom piece.

  • I’m not sure what I want—can you help me design something?

Absolutely. During your consultation, I’ll listen to your ideas, aesthetic, and space requirements, and help you shape them into a powerful visual concept. Whether it's for a cozy nook or a bold garden statement, your planter will feel tailor-made—because it is.

  • What makes these planters different from what I can get at a store?

Each planter from The Planter’s Tailor is an original, one-of-a-kind, hand-painted work of functional art—locally crafted and infused with bold artistic expression. You’re not buying mass-produced decor. You’re investing in a limited edition piece that transforms any space into an intentional work of art.

  • What materials do you work with?

I work across a variety of mediums including terra cotta, resin, wood, metal watering cans, and glass vases. I also tailor each material choice to your space and desired vibe, ensuring durability and visual harmony.

  • Can you help me transform an entire space?

Yes. If you're envisioning a larger installation—six or more planters—I offer in-person consultations where I visit your space to take measurements, discuss placement, security, and overall design flow. This ensures that the final result is cohesive and stunning.

  • How long does it take to receive a custom order?

Custom commissions typically ship within 14 - 21 days of your design consultation. Each piece is created with care and intention to reflect your unique vision. Ready-to-ship artwork is shipped within 1–2 business days after your order is placed.

  • What if my planter arrives damaged?

While every piece is carefully packaged and insured, if your artwork arrives damaged, please email hi@theplanterstailor.art within 12 hours of delivery, including detailed photos. I will do my best to replace or repair your piece and will provide a return shipping label within 24 hours.
